About Me
First of all the daxi is better looking than me .So using her as my profile image..I am married have 2 daughters, 3 stepsons,thankfuly they have all left home.I work part time in catering.I have had dogs all my life ranging from an E S S as a child,3 G S Ds,4 Rough Collies and an adorable Daxi now,red mini smooth,and a G S D,who is as nutty as a fruitcake.I like going out in our caravan (good weather only),love the med for holidays ,and South Africa as my Daughter used to live there.I like walking the dogs gardening,do some sewing and knitting occassionaly.I am hoping to get another Mini shaded red in the Spring. Tilly is fine with other dogs,but iffy with children,if they go to quickly or suddenley to stroke her.She will growl at them .I do understand it a bit as everybody to a mini dax must look like giants.I do wish parents would ask if its ok to stroke dogs as its not evry dog that likes strangers.I pick her up and let the kids stroke her and keep an eye on the bit that bites.Gwen x
Hi Gwen what is your dachshund like with other dogs and children. Mine bark at other dogs and are pretty nervous and Ella my black and tan girl is so very very nervous of kids. She growls and sometimes barks at them but freaks out if they are walking behind her-don't know if its the noise they make and how quickly they move or what. Would be interested to hear how yours is-sorry don't know his/her name. xx
